What does it mean to be Authentic?

The Authentic New Apostolic Church — also known as ANAC — is a Christian community built on faith in Jesus Christ, the Word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. It works for the spiritual edification of believers and the faithful proclamation of the Gospel, in a spirit of love, truth and unity.

Being Authentic means being faithful to the teaching of the new apostles in the continuity of the early Church. For Jesus built His Church upon the apostles, to whom He entrusted an important mission (Matthew 16:18, Ephesians 2:20 and John 20:21).

Authentic means true, faithful and true to the origin. Being authentic therefore means staying as faithful as possible to what the Bible teaches us. In the Authentic Church, we seek to be as faithful as possible to the Bible and to the teaching of Christ.

OUR VISION

The Authentic New Apostolic Church envisions "a Church in which members daily experience love for God and for their neighbour, conform their conduct to the pure teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ through His apostles, and submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to be taken up by the Lord Jesus Christ at His coming."

OUR MISSION

The Authentic New Apostolic Church's mission is: to go and proclaim the good news of salvation in its purity and authenticity to all Nations of the world, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, proclaiming the forgiveness of sins and administering the sacraments of salvation, so as to bring all who believe to become part of the bride-church of Christ.

Our Mission in action

Our Beliefs

God, Source of Life

God is the Creator and Sovereign of the universe. He has existed eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully man and fully God. He offered Himself as a sacrifice on the cross for our sins and conquered death through His resurrection. He will return in glory to establish His Kingdom. (Matthew 1:20-25, 16:15-16; John 1:1-18)

The Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the supreme authority for our faith. In its original writings, it is truth without any mixture of error. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the living work of the Holy Spirit who shapes us according to the nature of Christ. (John 14:16-17; Acts 2:1-4)

The Ministry

Jesus Christ entrusted the continuation of His mission to His Apostles to shepherd the flock. (Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 1:1-8)

The Love of God

We believe that God's love is immeasurable and is made manifest through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:10)

The Church

We believe that God uses the Church to accomplish His plans for the world until the return of Christ. (Matthew 28:1-20; Acts 2:37-41)

Humanity

Created in the image of God, we have fallen into sin, separating ourselves from Him. Only His grace can restore us. Every person is loved by God and worthy of respect. (Genesis 1:27-30; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3)
